Our prograMS
LEGAL SUPPORT HELPLINE
We seek to establish a legal advice and support mechanism for Indigenous Peoples and communities affected by human rights violations. The support will include legal advice, representation, and assistance in filing complaints and applications before the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and other judicial and quasi-judicial forums.
TRACKING RIGHTS VIOLATIONS
We monitor and document cases and incidents of rights violations pertaining to indigenous peoples/tribals.
INTERventionS
Based on our monitoring of cases and incidents of human rights violations, we undertake strategic interventions before appropriate redressal mechanisms. We regularly submit complaints and communications to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and other judicial, quasi-judicial, and administrative complaint mechanisms, and actively follow them up to ensure accountability and effective remedies for victims.
capacity building & fellowship
We facilitate and conduct training programs to strengthen the knowledge and skills of community advocates and human rights defenders with the emphasis on building skills in strategic advocacy actions, and the capacity to engage with governmental processes at the national, regional and international level.
